Student ID Cards Now Available!

The ID Card system is up and running again!  Anyone who is waiting on a card to be printed please call to the library.
Student ID Cards for Online Learners who have uploaded their photos are being processed and will be posted out accordingly.

Ebooks available

Did you know that the library has access to over 85,000 full text ebooks via the database ebrary?
Ebooks make online researching more flexible as they can be accessed  via any computer or mobile device wherever and whenever suits. With ebrary you can set up a personal online bookshelf to browse in your own time.

Getting started with ebrary is easy so why not try it today!

All of the ebooks from ebrary are incorporated into the Summon search on the library homepage (see Ask Us for FAQs on ebrary).

Online Learners - Student ID Cards

There is currently a delay with the posting out of ID cards to Online Learners due to a problem with the ID Card System. 

You will need to have a photo uploaded on the system in order for a card to be printed.

Welcome back to all staff at the start of this new academic year.

The Yeats Library website has had a few changes over the summer one of which was the development of our online helpdesk Ask Us.

Information queries no matter how big or small can be directed through the Ask Us tab on the right of the homepage. 

This is our one stop shop for all information queries. Browse the topics listed or search the frequently asked questions (FAQs) for answers to your query, for example Library support for academic staff .

Welcome Back

The Yeats Library would like to welcome back all students after the holidays. This year you don't have to get a new student card as the one from last year remains valid until the end of your course. If you have changed course or lost your ID card then call to Rooms 4 & 5 in the Social Learning Zone (lower ground floor) to get a replacement. ID cards will be available from 10.00am-12.00pm and 2.00pm-4.00pm.

Welcome to all the new online learners!
Induction is to take place tomorrow Friday 11th September starting in the Knocknarea Arena at 8.45am.

Student ID Cards will be available to collect from 10.00am in Rooms 4 & 5 of the Library Social Learning Zone, lower ground floor (turn right after main reception, entrance doors are on the right past the stairs).

For those of you not attending induction on campus tomorrow.details on how to get your student ID card posted out to you are available here.

Photo Exhibition -Scenes from 19th Century Sligo

O'Connell Street, formerly Knox Street

Yeats Library, IT Sligo invites you to step back in time and see the people, the streets and popular landmarks of Sligo as it was nearly 150 years ago.

A photographic exhibition from the National Library of Ireland Digital Collections will be launched on Tuesday, 11th August at 5.15 pm in the Social Zone (lower ground floor) of the Yeats Library.

There will be brief introduction to the exhibition with teas/coffees provided. All are welcome.
