Opening hours

Library opening hours for the new term are:

Monday-Thursday    9.00 am - 9.00 pm

Friday                       9.00 am - 5.00 pm

Saturday                  10.00 am - 2.00 pm

The information desk opens at 10.00 each morning, Monday - Saturday.

How to upload your Student Photograph

If, as a student, you haven’t logged into a PC or laptop in the Institute before or if you haven’t successfully logged into Moodle at https://vle.itsligo.ie, then carry out the following instructions to reset your login password;

1. Go to https://studentportal.itsligo.ie/portal/
2. Select the Online Services menu.
3. Select the second option, Change Password.
4. Enter the following login details:

a. Username: CAMPUS\Student ID {e.g. CAMPUS\S00012345}
b. Old password: {Your Date of Birth in the format DDMMYYYY with no / or - in between DD, MM or YYYY}
c. New password: Must at least 6 characters long and can be mixture of numbers and letters.
d. Confirm new password: Re-enter your new password here.
e. Select OK.

Once you have setup your new login password then carry out the following instructions to upload your student photograph;

1. Go back to https://studentportal.itsligo.ie/portal/
2. Enter your Student ID in the Username field (without the CAMPUS\ prefix) and your new login password in the Password field.
3. Under the Online Users section on the left hand side of the homepage, click on your name.
4. On the Profile page, click on the Edit Profile tab.
5. On the Edit Profile page, scroll to the Picture of section.
6. In the New Picture field, browse to the location of your student photograph and choose the Open button. For reference regarding the format of the photograph and Terms of Use of the system, please see click here.
7. Scroll to the button of the Edit Profile page and choose the Update Profile button.
8. Inform the IT Sligo library that you have uploaded your photograph by emailing: fahey.geraldine@itsligo.ie

Welcome Online & Distance Learning First Years!

Registration for Online & Distance Learning students is taking place today so welcome to all of you starting a new course of study.
Student ID Cards will be available to collect from 8.15am this morning in Rooms 4 & 5 of the Social Zone (Lower Ground Floor) of the Library (entrance to the right off the main foyer after reception).

If you are unable to attend the registration today or don't have time to get your card then you can upload your photo online via the Online Learners page on your Moodle account and we will post your ID card out to you:

Kindle Competition for First Years

To welcome all first years, the Library is running a competition with the prize of an Amazon Kindle to be won.
You can pick up an entry form when collecting your student ID Card and drop the completed entry form into the competition box at the Library Information Desk.
The draw will take place on Friday 26th September.

Welcome First Years!

Welcome to all first years who are beginning their studies in IT Sligo this week.
Induction is taking place on Monday and Tuesday with Registration and SUSI Helpdesks available in the Social Learning Zone of the Library.
The printing of student ID cards will also take place here in Rooms 4 & 5.

Don't forget to pick up your Yeats Library Brochure when you get your ID card.
