Yeats Day

Today is Yeats Day, the 149th birthday of W.B. Yeats.
To coincide with the visit to Sligo of Her Excellency, Radhika Lal Lokesh, the Indian Ambassador to Ireland for this occasion, an exhibition on ‘Yeats and influences from India’ is currently on display in the Social Zone of the library.
Works dispalyed include:
The Post Office: a play by Rabindranath Tagore (Nobel prize winner from 1913),
The Ten Principle Upanishads (Indian Scriptures) by W.B. Yeats and Shri Purohit Swami, as well as books from Anne Yeats private collection on Indian Art (one signed).
