World Book Day

Today, March 1st, is World Book Day and to celebrate this international event the library has a wonderful display of children’s books, all created by 4^thyear students from Early Childhood Care in Education. These are on display at the library information desk.
Also on display are a newrange of books “Quick Reads” - they are brilliant, bite sized books by big name authorsand celebrities.

We would like to welcome you to call to the library between 1 and 2pm today for a tea/coffee and chocolate bar allkindly sponsored by Wheat’s, the Book Nest, StudentsUnion shop and Corporate Catering whenyou can browse the quick reads and view the displays.

IEEE Digital Library

The IEEE Electronic Library (IEL) provides access to over 3,132146 documents from the IEEE and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) including journals, conference proceedings, published standards and a standards dictionary from 1988. Subjects covered are electrical engineering, computer science and communications.

VDE VERLANG Conference Proceedings are also available with abstracts and some full text proceedings from 2005.

Access to the IEL is now available from the Library homepage, just select IEEE from the Database drop-down list.

Two new databases from EBSCOHost!

Academic Search Premier has been upgraded to Academic Search Complete and Business Source Premier to Business Source Complete. Both databases have new interfaces and increased access to even more online journal titles.

Health and Safety Review

Health and Safety Review (HSR) is a magazine covering occupational health and safety and environmental issues that affect day to day workplace activities. It covers Irish and and international current news stories from safety issues to procedures and legislation.
The Yeats Library has a subscription to both the print and online formats of this magazine which is published ten times a year. The latest print issue of this title is available for reference from the Science Journals Collection on the Infozone, or alternatively, ask at the Library Information Desk for log in details to the HSR online via the Library Catalogue http://library.itsligo.ie/record=b1030394~S0
